MLK Day: Marching to promote Dr. King's teachings
Two generations meet: Jon Michael Franklin and Henry Ford. Both African American; one an eighth grader, the other a senior citizen. Through Jon's efforts the local school districts decided to honor the MLK Holiday by closing their schools and because of Henry, the MLK Day March & Ceremony was established as the beginning of future projects to advance the teachings of Dr. King through the founding efforts of the New Braunfels MLK Association, Inc.
The New Braunfels MLK Association, Inc., is a 501©(3), non-profit, organization that held it’s first planning meeting in March 2015 & it’s first March in January 2016.
